Ariel Lauren Wilson (Lauren, for short) grew up on her family’s farm in western North Carolina. She is a children’s book author and the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications for New York Restoration Project.

Lauren is the former editor-in-chief of Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn and a Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture fellow. She has been named 40 Under 40 in New York Food Policy by Hunter College and volunteers with P.L.A.N.T (Preserving Lincoln’s Abundant Natural Treasures), an ad hoc greening group who won Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Greenest Block in Brooklyn competition in 2022.

She’s currently writing her first book about dirt and is represented by Kelly Sonnack of Andrea Brown Literary Agency.
